6th Grade La Bamba Story Map T Shirt

The assessment the the kids had to do was a story map tshirt (front and back) about the story "La Bamba".  They did an excellent job! 



6th Grade Adjectives

My 6th graders worked on identifying adjectives in sentences.  Divided into small groups, students had to underline the adjectives in a sentence and write the answer on the mini whiteboard. They also had to discuss their answers within their group, and later on show their answers to the rest of the class. The kids really enjoyed this activity!

Mi grupo de 6to trabajaron en identificar adjetivos en oraciones.  En grupos pequeños, los estudiantes subrayaban los adjetivos en la oración y luego escribian el adjetivo en la mini pizarar blanca.  De verdad que se diviritieron mucho!

6th Grade Unit 1

My 6th graders have been working on Unit 1 Challenges Facing Characters.  We have been reading the story "La Bamba" by Gary Soto.  We have been working on context clues and adjectives.  Test will be next Tuesday, September 5th. 

Mis estudiantes de 6to grado han estado trabajando en la Unidad 1 "Challenges Facing Characters".  Han estado leyendo el cuento "La Bamba" por Gary Soto.  Han trabajado en vocabulario y adjectivos.  Examen será el 5 de septiembre.
